Blotting A Stain (Liquid Stains)

When blotting a stain – that is still wet – from a carpet use dry, white absorbent cloths or white paper towels with no printing on them.  Whatever liquid caused the stain, it could be a solvent which unbinds print from the paper you are using. If ink from the print is dissolved by the alcohol or water in the spilt solution, it could end up making the stain far worse.  What is more, once it dries, it could be fixed irretrievably to the fibres of your carpet.

If ink from the print is dissolved by the alcohol or water in the spilt solution, it could end up rubbing off onto the crapet and therefore making the stain far worse.  What is more, once it dries, it could be fixed irretrievably to the fibres of your carpet!  Don’t take the chance, use plain, unprinted paper only.
